First Profession as a Capuchin Friar Minor

Hi
Here is a movie I put together of my first profession. My Profession followed a year of Postulancy, in Dublin, and a year of Novitiate, in Oxford. During the ceremony I professed the vows of Poverty, Chastity and Obedience for a period of three years. At Solemn Profession, we make this commitment for life.

It was a day of great joy, as you will see. This August, with God's help, Br Liam Quinn will make his first profession too. Liam is currently doing his Novitiate in America along with twelve other Novices, from all over the United States. It will be a day of great rejoicing for Liam, his family, friends and all his Capuchin Brothers.

Capuchin Friars: Called to Mission

Whether we work at home, or overseas, a Capuchin Friar is called to mission. Our mission is to make the world, our world, more Fraternal. We do this by living the Gospel life set out by Jesus Christ.

Jesus said :

When I was hungry, you gave me food to eat
When I was thirsty, you gave me drink,
When I was a stranger, you welcomed me,
When I was naked, you clothed me,
When I was in prison or sick, you came to visit me. (Matthew 25:35)

Whenever, and wherever, we do this to the least of the world, we do it to Him and, in turn, it is because of Him that we can do it.

Is Jesus calling you to join this mission? If you feel He is, then take the first step on that mission journey and contact us at capuchinvocation@gmail.com

02 April 2011 - Peace Prayer

Lord make me a channell ..........

Franciscan Meditation

Lord, cast your light into the darkness of my heart,
Give me a correct faith, certain hope and perfect charity.
Sense and knowledge Lord,
That I may know and do your Holy and True Will

(St Francis of Assisi: Prayer for Enlightenment)
