Easter Greetings!!

Every blessing and good wish to you this Easter season!

We have had a very busy few weeks the highlight of which was the televised Easter Vigil Mass from St Mary of the Angel's in Church Street. The celebration was lead by our Provincial Minister Brother Adrian Curran OFM Cap. This celebration marked not only Easter but also 400 years of Capuchin presence in Ireland as well as acknowledging the role that the Capuchin Friars played in ministering to the injured, dying and leaders of the 1916 rising.

On Sunday morning RTE and Eurovision TV broadcast Easter Sunday Mass from Church Street lead by Brother Peter Rogers OFM Cap. Both celebrations are currently averrable on the RTE Player.

This was followed by a lecture by Provincial Archivist of the Irish Capuchin Province, Dr Brian Kirby on 'Rebel's Priests; the Capuchin Friars and the 1916 Rising' in Capuchin Friary, Church St, Dublin 7 one of RTE Reflecting the Rising events...

Before Easter Brother Kevin of the Capuchin Day Centre for Homeless People travelled to Rome to meet with Pope Francis. The Pope took some time to speak to Brother Kevin about the work of the centre.

The Easter ceremonies are over but our work as Capuchin Friars continues and to ensure that we are here for another 400 years we need vocations; Men called by God to following in the footsteps of St Francis of Assisi, prepared to live a life of Brotherhood, Prayer and Service to those most in need.

Please continue to pray for us and pray for vocations.

If you feel that God may be calling you to share in our ministry and way of life, don't hesitate to contact our Vocations Director, Brother Terence on 086 3230638 or by email to tharr@eircom.net
